TabTrade Broker Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It does factor into how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
